• 4+ years of experience in warehousing activities and inventory management.
• Experience with Kanban systems and ISO regulations.

• BASIC FUNCTION

Under the general supervision of the Mgr-Materials Sanimex, this position is responsible for receiving, storing and supplying raw materials, packaging materials and spare parts for vitreous operations.

Must also ensure that all material received meets specifications required by the operation, maintaining optimal levels based material savings, reworking, recycling and teamwork, as well as the timely receipt of invoices for payment to suppliers.

Specific Responsibilities

• Administrate logistic for three warehouses and production supermarkets (a supermarket is an area in packing department with corrugated, components, fittings, labels, printed materials, etc.).
• Determine suitable materials for keeping in general storeroom.
• Coordinate the physical inspection of materials when required.
• Work in close relationship with Purchasing and production departments in order to assure appropriate inventory levels, but working with the lowest possible stock.
• Administration of production supermarkets to ensure that the required material is in the production area.
• Notifies the plant when material has been received.
• Inform the accounting department, quality control and purchasing of possible damages in received material in order for them take actions as necessary.
• Provide buyers inventory level information for materials in order to ensure re-supply of material as necessary.
• When incoming raw materials for slip and glaze arrive, ensure notification to Ceramic and laboratory departments to do the proper testing.
• Administration of ISO- files.
• Ensures the correct input of the received material into the system.
• Supervise activities of two spot tractors in both plants that move the trailers that arrive.
• Supervise virtual importation receiving process in order to assure that it matches to SAP and that it has been performed in time.
• Supervise that indirect materials received for specific users / areas are being delivered promptly.
• Ensures the correct keeping of chemical products area.
• Ensures a correct control of scrapped materials.
• Administration of 5S's in both warehouses and storeroom.
• Coordinate the manufacture of polyurethane foam pads for lavatories and pedestals in both plants.
• Coordinate the sale of scrapped of corrugated, plastic, paper, steel, aluminum and wooden pallets
• Perform domestic and international shipments by UPS and Expeditors
• Make project of MC, Safety and savings
• Coordinate control of the outgoing materials
• Supervise the proper receipt of invoices in SAP and forwards all the invoices to the accounting department in order to pay suppliers.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as directed by the Materials Manager

• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• EDUCATION: Preference Bachelor's degree
• EXPERIENCE: Preference 4 years of experience in: warehousing activities; inventories; pull signal; Kan ban; and ISO.
