Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Mexicali, MX seeks a Materials Planner IV to determine current and future raw materials needs to meet the master production schedule. You will manage procurement activities, forecast accuracy, and changes through MRP.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, advanced English, and SAP proficiency. Travel up to 25% and a full-time shift are expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced English level.
• SAP proficiency desirable.
• CAS, Solumina, Windows Office (Excel Macros and Visual Basic is a plus).
• Management MRP Systems.
• Demand balance and MIN MAX systems experience.
• Proven communication, teamwork and negotiation skills.
• APICS (Management and inventory control, Supply chain, etc.).
• Project management, coordination experience (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic initiatives oriented to meet or exceed department goals.
• Ensure material availability based on production and demand forecasts and adjust MRP parameters.
• Handle part and engineering changes to avoid obsolescence and material gaps.
• Anticipates customer needs.
• Manage Min Max and discrete purchase and VMI accounts.
• Solve major procurement, material control and planning issues.
• Set controls and limits in metrics to prevent loss of control.
• Analyze and control materials by inventory classification.
• Evaluate material forecast vs actual deliveries.
• Take leader's role when necessary.
