Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Strategic Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies for metal fabrication and other strategic components. You will lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to support NPI, localization, and procurement excellence. You will manage metrics, ERP data, and sourcing analytics to drive value for the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials.
• Track record in supplier evaluation, selection, and development.
• Experience with cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
• Knowledge of procurement metrics, dashboards, and ERP usage.
• Ability to identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for metal fabrication categories and other strategic components.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations and contract management.
• Drive cost reduction through VA/VE and productivity programs.
• Monitor supplier performance via KPIs on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Prepare sourcing recommendations and executive management presentations.
