Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in the Mexico region seeks a procurement professional to negotiate and renew supplier agreements for critical materials and tooling. You will coordinate with local and international teams, review technical drawings and tolerance, and manage direct materials for bus production under SAP and MS Office tools.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, long-term supplier partnerships, and alignment with global commodity strategies while ensuring timely deliveries for production lines.

Qualifications

• Must have process management experience and familiarity with SAP systems.
• Experience in managing direct materials for manufacturing.
• 2 years of purchasing negotiations, cost structures and contracts.
• Knowledge of automotive components domains (metal fabrication, wiring, powertrain, exhaust, suspension, tires/wheels).
• English level B1 and Spanish level C1 required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate or renew supplier agreements for critical materials and tooling for production.
• Negotiate long-term agreements with suppliers and exclusive products for production.
• Manage supplier relationships and achieve cost goals for production.
• Participate in development of long-term global commodity strategies and evaluate alternatives.
• Create and implement measures to report efficiencies and risks, and ensure escalation protocols.
