Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate cash registers and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of recruiting, hiring, counseling, and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage all employees in planning and implementing store processes.
• Recruit, select, and retain qualified staff according to laws and policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Set pay rate recommendations and advance prospects.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Ensure proper staffing and opening/closing of the store.
• Monitor sales, profitability, and inventory trends; control expenses.
• Oversee stock replenishment and weekly ordering plans.
• Stage, stock, and display merchandise; manage pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls.
• Ensure customer service leadership and safe store environment.
