An established engineering firm located in San José del Cabo is seeking an experienced engineer to lead design development for transit stations. The role involves coordinating with multiple engineering teams and managing project schedules and budgets. Candidates should possess a degree in engineering or architecture, 10+ years of experience, and a preferred professional license. Authorization to work in the United States is necessary.

Formación

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary design engineering, preferably transit projects.
  • State of California Professional Engineer (PE) or Architectural Registration (RA) license preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the design development of one of the BSVII transit stations.
  • Coordinate the inputs of Lead Architect, Architect of Record, structural engineers, MEP engineers, rail systems, and civil engineering teams in developing the detailed design of the stations.
  • Coordinate with other design packages to identify and delineate the requirements and responsibilities of each construction contract package.
  • Coordinate with the Digital Delivery team responsible for the management and administration of the model-based design environment.
  • Manage schedule and budgets of internal MMW staff and sub-consultants in the development of design.
  • Coordinate and review proposed engineering scope and configuration changes and document contract amendments.
  • Communicate with the Project Controls team to assure compatibility and continuity of information from all project interfaces.
  • Work with the Quality Manager to ensure that the MMW Design Quality Management Plan is followed.
  • Serve as a liaison and coordinate with PMT's Facilities Engineering Manager, and with VTA's External Affairs Team in matters related to the station.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet project requirements and objectives, and to ensure a cooperative team approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture required.
  • State of California Professional Engineer (PE) or Architectural Registration (RA) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary design engineering, preferably transit projects.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
