Amazon AWS is seeking a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect for Security based in Mexico City. You will serve as the primary technical authority for AWS Security engagements, architecting security solutions from discovery to implementation and guiding AI/ML security across Bedrock workloads.

You will build trusted relationships with CISOs, security directors, and engineering teams while staying at the forefront of securing AI workloads at scale.

Formación

• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries

AWS has a Specialist Solutions Architecture team based in Mexico that covers multiple technical domains, including Security as one of its core specialties. This team proactively helps customers strengthen their security posture across both cloud infrastructure and AI workloads, driving Security Services adoption and revenue growth across our customer base. As a Sr Specialist Solutions Architect for Security, you will serve as the primary technical authority for AWS Security engagements, independently generating demand through technical thought leadership, building trusted relationships with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Security Directors, and engineering teams, and owning the security technical strategy. You will originate, architect, and drive security solutions from discovery through implementation. A critical component of this role is securing AI/ML and Generative AI workloads - you will guide customers on how to protect their foundation models, training pipelines, inference endpoints, and agentic AI architectures, leveraging AWS Security services to enable safe and responsible AI adoption. You are expected to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving intersection of Security and AI, continuously learning and developing expertise in securing AI workloads at scale. You will be paired 1:1 with a dedicated Security Specialist Seller and operate as a high-performance dual-coverage team alongside account teams, with clear swim lanes: you own the security architecture, technical validation, and solution design, while the Specialist Seller owns pipeline development and commercial execution.

Key job responsibilities

Chief Information Security Officer Engagement

• Build and maintain independent, trusted relationships with CISOs and security buying centers
• Engage on board-level security concerns, including risk reduction, regulatory compliance, SOC productivity, total cost of ownership, and business continuity in complex cloud environments
• Position AWS as the strategic security platform partner, articulating how multiple AWS security services deliver centralized visibility, consistent policy enforcement, and streamlined operations

Security Strategy

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the AWS Security portfolio spanning Threat Detection, Data Protection, Governance, and Network and Application Protection
• Articulate competitive advantage over third-party security alternatives and position AWS-native security as a consolidation and cost-optimization

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with AMs, in a dual-coverage model where you lead security origination and strategy and the AMs lead account-level orchestration and commercial execution

Pipeline Development

• Proactively identify, generate, and own new security opportunities; this is a hunter role, not reactive support
• Execute targeted sales plays across greenfield scenarios (e.g., customers architecting security for new AI applications on Bedrock) and brownfield scenarios (e.g., consolidation and cost optimization)
• Drive competitive displacement against incumbent security providers (e.g., Wiz, Splunk) leveraging AWS Security Hub momentum and the broader AWS security portfolio

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISA, CISM or other security certification, or Associate's degree
• Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
• AWS Security Specialty certification or similar certifications from others cloud providers.
