Job summary

Improving is hiring a senior full-stack .NET developer focused on building scalable banking-grade applications in a remote LATAM setup. You will develop and maintain robust .NET-based services, design secure RESTful APIs, and drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes deployments.

You will bring 5+ years of software development, deep .NET/C#, and strong API experience, with Azure expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact financial systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Advanced proficiency in .NET and C# for enterprise-grade apps.
• Deep expertise in API development (REST/HTTP, OAuth/JWT).
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including Kubernetes and API Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust .NET-based applications with high performance and scalability.
• Lead design and implementation of secure RESTful APIs for internal/external integration.
• Deliver enhancements including payment-related features and real-time settlements.
• Identify and resolve production issues and optimize app performance and reliability.

Join a larger team effort supporting the development and maintenance of banking systems. We are seeking a full-stack .NET developer with expertise in .NET and Azure cloud technologies to build and deploy high-performing, scalable platforms in a fast-paced banking environment.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain robust .NET-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and adherence to development best practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of secure and efficient RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Deliver functional enhancements and capabilities, including ACH payments, real-time payments, and on-platform real-time settlements.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues in production environments while optimizing application performance and reliability.
• Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews and adherence to CI/CD practices.
• Carry out quality assurance testing, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify and resolve defects.
• Develop and execute software engineering quality strategies, practices, and tools.
• Oversee the deployment and management of applications using Azure services, including Kubernetes for container orchestration and Azure API Management for secure API management.
• Enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code and practices.
• Document the current Azure infrastructure architecture.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Contribute to the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to improve development efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Advanced proficiency in .NET and C# for building enterprise-grade applications.
• Deep expertise in API development, including REST/HTTP protocols, authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth/JWT), and API optimization techniques.
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including Kubernetes for container orchestration and Azure API Management for API lifecycle management.
• Experience building and maintaining microservices on Azure Kubernetes.
• Strong command of version control systems (e.g., Git), Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum), and DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to develop business cases.

Nice to Have

• Experience building and maintaining ASP.NET Blazor web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Grafana for advanced monitoring and visualization of application metrics.
• In-depth knowledge of the Jack Henry SilverLake core banking system or similar financial platforms.
• Expertise in payment systems, including ACH and Fedwire, and international money transfer protocols such as SWIFT and SEPA.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and DevOps technologies such as Terraform and Docker.
• Relevant certifications in Azure, .NET, Kubernetes, or other cloud technologies.
