Corning Inc. in Reynosa is seeking a Senior Lean Engineer to lead continuous improvement across production and support areas. You will identify opportunities, eliminate waste, and drive measurable results using Lean methodologies and data-driven decision making.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
• Strong Lean knowledge and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead productivity, waste reduction, and cost-saving projects across manufacturing.
• Conduct Time Studies, OBC analysis, Standard Work, and line balancing.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S, Gemba walks, and focused improvement projects.
• Apply KT, 5 Whys, 8D, A3, DMAIC to resolve material and process challenges.
• Monitor execution, results, and sustainment for long-term impact.
• Support process development, flow improvement, and capital-readiness activities.
• Deliver Lean training and coaching across teams.
• Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance in improvements.

What is your role?

As a Senior Lean Engineer, you will lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across production and operational support areas. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, eliminate waste, improve performance, and deliver sustainable business results through Lean methodologies and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute productivity, waste reduction, and cost-saving projects across manufacturing operations.
• Conduct Time Studies, OBC analysis, Standard Work development, and line balancing to improve efficiency and operational performance.
• Facilitate and support Lean initiatives including Kaizen events, 5S activities, Gemba walks, and focused improvement projects.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as KT, 5 Whys, 8D, A3, and DMAIC to resolve material, process, and equipment challenges.
• Monitor project execution, results, and sustainment to ensure long-term success and business impact.
• Support process development, flow improvement, variability reduction, and capital improvement readiness activities.
• Deliver coaching and training on Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements in all improvement activities.

Experiences/Education - Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Improvement roles.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Time Studies, OBC analysis, Standard Work, line balancing, and productivity improvement.
• Proven experience applying KT, 5 Whys, 8D, A3, and DMAIC problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience leading or supporting Kaizen, 5S, Gemba, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to deliver measurable business results in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English communication skills preferred.
• Lean Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience delivering White Belt and Yellow Belt training.
• Knowledge of DOE, hypothesis testing, and process capability improvement.
• Experience with AutoCAD, layout design, capital projects, or new process implementation.
