Java Applications Engineer (Team Lead)

The team we are building will be the cornerstone of the tools and processes across a development environment of more than 10,000 engineers.

The goal is to make engineers across the organization more productive.

You'll build structure and processes around how code is written, tested and mitigate duplication all while being on the cutting edge of the technical side.

What you’ll do

• Help build and lead a team that will collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

We'll look to you to lead by example and share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

You’ll also collaborate with digital product managers to drive the delivery of robust solutions that power the financial experiences of millions of Americans and enable the achievement of financial empowerment.

Requirements Include

• 5+ years of solid engineering experience in the following :
• Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
• Python
• AWS and select AWS Managed Services (e.g. Lambda, Fargate, ECS, Dynamo)
• Apache Spark
• Experience building, leading and moving a team forward to achieve end results
• A passion for enabling those around you to achieve
• Technical depth and experience in broad DevOps practices, CI / CD, Production Pipelines and Methodologies, particularly in an AWS-Native enterprise environment
• A passion for developer experience tooling and optimizing engineering workflows
• Experience with ETL and Data Warehouse platforms
