Job summary

Amphenol tcs is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer in Tijuana, Mexico to drive equipment planning, capacity modeling, and production optimization. The role requires a Bachelor’s in industrial/manufacturing/mechanical engineering and at least 5 years in manufacturing engineering, preferably in harness industries.

Strong Excel, CAD skills, and English communication are essential. The engineer will analyze demand, develop capacity models, and justify investments while coordinating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in industrial/manufacturing/mechanical engineering.
• Experience with automated equipment, off-the-shelf or custom integrated solutions.
• 5 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering in harness industries.
• Strong knowledge of productivity, OEE, cycle time, takt time and efficiency concepts.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• Written and spoken English communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
• CAD software utilization.

Responsibilities

• Determine equipment quantity and capability requirements to meet demand.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for manufacturing equipment; develop capital cost estimates, budgets, and investment justifications.
• Analyze customer demand forecasts and production requirements.
• Develop manufacturing capacity models for equipment, labor, and facilities.
• Calculate required machine quantities, utilization rates, cycle times, and throughput.
• Evaluate production scenarios to support business growth and strategic planning.
• Prepare AR Capital package proposal and present to management; issue PO to acquire equipment required to cover forecast production volume.
