Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Transformation Office Finance and Cash Management Office leader, responsible for managing the Capital Excellence Team ("CET") processes, including annual planning, monthly reporting, coordination of weekly CET review meetings, ongoing review, and preparation of all Capital Appropriation Requests ("CARs") submitted for CET review, assistance to CAR submitters, administration of the Daptiv project management system.
Must be able to effectively work with individuals throughout the enterprise, including Business Unit senior management.
Skills You Need
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of the weekly CET CAR review meetings.
- Coordinate scheduling with reviewers and CET team members.
- Perform detailed reviews of Capital Appropriations Requests (CARs) submitted by the BUs, ensuring accuracy and completeness of business cases.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the Business Unit Capital Appropriations Process (CARs)
- Serve as a Daptiv Administrator by assisting to users, coordinating system changes with the IT Daptiv team, and perform all Daptiv Admin duties such as troubleshooting, set up users, remove users, unlock accounts, trainings, etc.
- Assist in the Annual Enterprise Capital Planning process
- Work with TO Finance to ensure that initiatives with associated capital spend are aligned with current Plan in Daptiv
- Coordinate and reconcile the monthly actual capital spend being reported in Daptiv.
- Supervise maintenance of PowerBI capital reporting site, CARAWS and CET SharePoint site
- Proactively identify and drive process enhancements within the CMO and across JCI to improve accuracy and efficiency of monthly, quarterly, and annual projects / tasks
- Perform other duties and complete ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
What Makes You Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required
- Minimum 6 years of extensive experience in Finance / Accounting and / or other areas of business operations
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to influence and lead in driving change in the organization.
- Strategic consulting skills which move beyond adherence to specific analytical tools and methodologies; the ability to "think outside the box," generate alternative solutions for consideration, and provide comprehensive risk / benefit analysis on those alternatives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Should have ability to listen effectively, evaluate the most critical elements being communicated and communicate with individuals across the organization on an open and timely basis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Internet and E-Mail are required, Daptiv, Wave & HFM experience preferred but not required.
