How will you make an impact in this role?

This role is responsible for supporting activities related to the accounting and integrity of US GAAP and MEX GAAP P&L and Balance Sheet, Financial Statements Preparation, collaborate with External and Internal Audits requirements and provide accounting guidance to Business on their initiatives and projects.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in projects, initiatives and issues remediation to help Business.

  • Provide support to the leader analyzing year over year and month over month P&L variances and their explanation, raising potential issues impacting Business and Financials.
  • Prepare manual journal entries ensuring compliance with MJE protocol.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Develop spreadsheets and working papers required for projections, financial statements, variance analysis, reports, etc., looking for automation and enhancement opportunities.

  • Prepare, extract and summarize financial information required for analysis and presentations.

  • Participation and support in statutory (PwC), IAG and Tax audits.

  • Support Manager in the completion of ongoing projects and deliverables as required.
  • Monitor monthly activity, entries and trends to timely identify, raise and follow up on potential missing or wrong entries, risk controls and broken processes.

  • Prepare, extract and summarize financial information required for deliverables to government and agencies (Tax authorities, Ministry of Economy, INEGI, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Up to date experience in US GAAP and MEX GAAP.
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong knowledge in excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to collaborate across geographies in a matrix structure and deliver on customer expectations, being flexible to acquire additional responsibilities, job rotation and help the rest of the team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SQL/programming is preferred.
  • Experience working with Oracle GL.
  • Experience in Hyperion platforms (TM1, Smartview, etc.), Power Query and Power BI is a plus.
