Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and manage cloud-based infrastructure. You will work across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud, implementing IaC, automating deployments, and optimizing performance, security, and costs.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to drive cloud initiatives and enable scalable solutions. The role emphasizes infrastructure automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reliable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud

Formación

• Experience designing cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.
• CI/CD implementation experience with modern tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy).
• Proficient in DevOps/SRE tooling and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Ability to architect scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud environments.

This role involves responsibility for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be expected to generate solutions that align with business requirements and prioritize scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate should possess innovative thinking skills and constantly seek opportunities to enhance the cloud environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with various tools and APIs of different software platforms used by the company, aiming to establish direct automation and integration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, lead the implementation and optimization of cloud infrastructure across platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Design and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Collaborate with internal cloud, MSP’s and development teams to automate application deployments, configuration changes, testing, monitoring, and scaling processes.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security in the cloud environments.
• Develop and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively address potential issues in the cloud environment.
• Optimize cloud resource usage and costs by monitoring consumption, implementing auto-scaling, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Mentor a team of Cloud engineers, provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful implementation and operation of the cloud environment.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define and implement an effective cloud strategy, aligning Cloud infrastructure with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in Devops and SRE tooling such as PowerShell, Python, etc.
• Cloud Service Model – Extensive knowledge of PaaS (Compute, Storage, Integration Services, Docker/Containers, Kubernetes) and IaaS (Virtual Machines Build, Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Windows and Linux server administration) cloud services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Skilled in working with IaC tools like Terraform, Terraform Cloud, ARM Templates, Cloud Formation, etc.
• CI/CD – Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, etc., for automated software deployments.
• Cloud Architecture – Proficient in designing cloud architectures for optimal performance and scalability.
• Monitoring and Logging – Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and practices for efficient cloud infrastructure management such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, Splunk, etc.
• Security – Knowledge of cloud security best practices, implementations and tools such as Wiz, Snyk, etc.
• Cloud Networking – Understanding of cloud networking concepts and techniques.
• Troubleshooting – Expertise in troubleshooting issues related to cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Proven experience – Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation.
• DevOps expertise – Solid grasp of DevOps principles and practices, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Decision-making skills – Proven track record of driving collaborative decisions and following through on them.
• Problem-solving – Excellent problem-solving skills, utilizing internal and external resources to resolve issues and challenges.
• Technical design and documentation – Ability to create technical designs and documentation.
• Self-motivation and teamwork – Self-starter with a strong sense of motivation and ability to work effectively in a team.
