3217 Carrier México, S.A. de C.V. seeks a Senior Buyer who will ensure uninterrupted supply of direct materials for manufacturing, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate global sourcing activities.

You will monitor inventory levels and coverage, drive procurement processes, evaluate supplier quotations and bids, negotiate delivery schedules, and monitor procurement KPIs to improve cost and performance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, procurement, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing direct material suppliers in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-relations experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and material supply processes.
• Experience with RFPs and vendor qualification processes.
• Ability to analyze pricing, contracts, and financial data.
• Experience monitoring procurement KPIs and supplier performance.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms.
• Advanced English proficiency.

• Follow up on procurement and supply chain processes, including SOTD, ECN, ETO, E&O, GRNI, and virtual inventory activities.
• Manage excess and obsolete inventory reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate delivery schedules and supply commitments with suppliers to meet production demand.
• Conduct supplier negotiations, including direct interaction with international suppliers.
• Monitor and report procurement KPIs related to supplier performance, delivery, cost, and inventory.
• Execute procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and operational plans aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare, review, and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and supplier bid packages.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, pricing proposals, and financial data to support sourcing decisions.
• Approve and qualify suppliers to ensure compliance with business and operational requirements.
• Authorize purchase orders and approve payments to support efficient procurement operations.
• Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support issue resolution with suppliers and internal customers to maintain supply chain continuity.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience managing direct material suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and material supply processes.
• Experience with RFPs, supplier selection, and vendor qualification processes.
• Ability to analyze pricing proposals, contracts, and financial information.
• Experience monitoring procurement KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
