About Lumen

The Role

As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer in Lumen Finance, you will play a key role as a Management Reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) expert for the Capital Planning group supporting North America Operations.

This role is central to the financial control system for over $1B of annual capital spending.

The Main Responsibilities

• Able to convey complex technical concepts to both peers and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for evaluating financial reporting against expected results
• Strong business acumen and an ability to engage functional peers on core business strategies
• Provide timely and accurate estimates of development Levels of Effort (LOE) and appropriate status updates
• Work closely with peers in cross functional groups and independently on projects
• Comfortable engaging with Finance resources and IT resources
• This is an experienced role requiring typically 3+ years of BI development experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and / or experience required
• Experience working in a complex data environment with rapidly changing requirements
• Experience working within a full BI technology stack (data, ETL, back-end, and reporting)
• Strong testing and debugging skillsMicrosoft Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI)
• Experience with Oracle SQL and MS SQL
• Experience with visual reporting and best practices for tools such as Microsoft Power BI & Tableau
• Experience with physical and logical data modeling strongly preferred
• Finance and / or accounting experience preferred
• Prior exposure to cloud-based data warehousing technologies preferred

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation.
