KTSA – KPMG Technology Services Americas is seeking a Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead/Coordinator to plan, execute, and report on DR exercises. You will collaborate with IT DR leads and business stakeholders to close gaps, ensure accurate DR plans, and drive remediation actions across regions.

The role involves developing automation opportunities, monitoring DR KPIs, and contributing to continuous improvement programs within KTSA’s IT disaster recovery maturity roadmap.

Formación

  • Proven experience coordinating Disaster Recovery (DR) failover and failback tests, including planning and execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with process orientation.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and/or support periodic IT Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, including planning, execution, and post-test activities.
  • Partner with IT DR Leads and stakeholders to develop DR exercise reports and remediation actions.
  • Ensure DRPs include complete recovery procedures and configurations for DR site or alternate region.
  • Contribute to gap analyses and implement corrective actions for DR processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or support periodic IT Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, including planning, execution, and post-test activities.
  • Partner with IT DR Leads and key business stakeholders to develop DR exercise reports, identify gaps, and drive remediation actions.
  • Act as a DR advocate to ensure Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) include complete recovery procedures and application configurations to restore business operations at the DR site or alternate region.
  • Participates in gap analysis on DRP documentation to identify improvements opportunities and collaborate in the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases for automation initiatives aimed at improving IT DR processes efficiency, reducing risk, enhancing resiliency, and lowering operational costs.
  • Monitor, track, and report on IT Disaster Recovery service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in post-disaster reviews to drive continuous improvements to IT DR capabilities.
  • Maintain IT Disaster Recovery documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and ongoing relevance.
  • Collaborate on enterprise IT DR initiatives to enhance internal services and stakeholder experience.
  • Actively contributes to continuous improvement programs and internal forums by promoting best practices, emerging technologies, and modern methodologies to advance IT Disaster Recovery maturity model.
  • Occasionally provide on-call or after-hours support to assist with recovery coordination during major incidents or IT Disasters.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience coordinating Disaster Recovery (DR) failover and failback tests, including planning and execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptable and responsive to evolving business and operational needs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable service improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of IT DR automation tools (preferred).
  • Strong process-oriented mindset; familiarity with ITIL ITSCM practices (preferred).
  • Industry-recognized certifications in IT DR and Business Continuity disciplines (preferred).
