Mercor seeks a Spanish Linguistic Expert to evaluate and refine Spanish text produced by LLMs. This remote contract role focuses on translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction, demanding keen linguistic judgment and cultural sensitivity.

You will annotate data and provide actionable feedback to researchers to improve model performance. The ideal candidate is a native or near-native Spanish speaker with strong grammar, style control, and experience in linguistic annotation or NLP

Formación

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish with strong grammar and style control.
• Experience in translation, editing or linguistic annotation in Spanish.
• Deep understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations in Spanish.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with excellent command over grammar, syntax, and stylistics.
• Professional experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Spanish.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances, regional variations, and context-appropriate usage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors or unnatural phrasing.
• Clear communication skills and experience working in distributed, remote teams.

Preferred

• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies.
