Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. in Mexico City seeks a Solutions Architect for Marketing Cloud Next to lead end-to-end migrations from legacy platforms to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Data Cloud.

You will own architecture, discovery workshops, and client relationships within the Migration Hub, collaborating with architecture, data, and DevOps teams to enable AI-ready customer platforms. You will guide today’s migration priorities, ensure data governance, and advise on deliverability and post-migration

Qualifications

• 8–14 years in martech, CRM, and Salesforce consulting.
• 5+ years in Marketing Cloud with at least 2 end-to-end MCN or SFMC implementations or migrations in a design or architecture role.
• 3+ years in client-facing advisory roles on enterprise marketing transformation programs.
• Proven experience running discovery workshops with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional discovery workshops with client marketing, CRM, data, compliance, and digital teams.
• Own the Marketing Cloud Next target architecture and solution blueprint, incl. Data Cloud integration design.
• Author the migration approach: wave sequencing, journey migration priorities, cutover plan.
• Define subscriber and consent migration strategy, including governance and validation criteria.
• Manage scope, functional design docs, UAT, and business sign-off at each phase gate.
• Advise clients on email deliverability and post-migration strategy.
• Contribute to Migration Hub playbooks and accelerators; support pre-sales and solutioning.

Role Overview

The Solution Architect – Marketing Cloud Next is a client-facing leader responsible for designing and guiding end-to-end migrations from legacy marketing platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, legacy SFMC Classic) to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Data Cloud. As a foundational member of the Migration Hub, you will own the solution blueprint, functional discovery, and client relationship. You will sit between marketing strategy and technical platform design. You will partner with the Technical Architect, Data Cloud Architect, and DevOps to make sure subscriber data, consent records, and journey logic land in a governed, AI-ready customer platform that is ready for Agentforce personalization and Data Cloud activation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead functional discovery workshops with client marketing, CRM, data, compliance, and digital teams
• Own the Marketing Cloud Next target architecture and solution blueprint, including Data Cloud integration design (unified profiles, identity resolution, segmentation, activation)
• Author the migration approach: wave sequencing, journey migration priorities, cutover plan, and go/no-go criteria
• Define the subscriber and consent migration strategy (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, POPI), including suppression list governance and data validation criteria
• Manage scope, functional design documents, UAT, and business sign-off at each phase gate
• Advise clients on email deliverability (IP warm-up, SPF/DKIM/DMARC) and post-migration strategy
• Contribute to Migration Hub playbooks and accelerators, and support pre-sales and solutioning

Must-Have Requirements

• Marketing Cloud Next (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, Contact Builder)
• Salesforce Data Cloud (data streams, unified profiles, identity resolution, activation)
• Subscriber data model and consent architecture
• Working knowledge of at least one legacy platform (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or SFMC Classic)
• Journey and campaign migration strategy
• Email deliverability
• Integration awareness (Marketing Cloud Connect, REST/SOAP APIs)
• Functional data migration strategy
• Executive-level documentation, workshop facilitation, and Agile delivery

Preferred Requirements

• AMPscript / SSJS
• Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama) and Interaction Studio / Personalization
• WhatsApp, Push, SMS, and LINE channel migration
• Snowflake / Databricks as Data Cloud sources
• Loyalty Cloud / Commerce Cloud
• Migration experience from Responsys, Acoustic Campaign, or Braze

Required Experience
