Bluelight LLC, a leading software consultancy, seeks a backend developer to join its growing Elixir team. Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs using Phoenix, Elixir, and OTP in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with product managers and designers to translate requirements into reliable services, own features end-to-end, write tests, and help improve performance and fault tolerance while staying current with Elixir ecosystem.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience focusing on backend.
• Strong Elixir and Phoenix framework experience.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems, and functional programming.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs (and GraphQL) and PostgreSQL (Ecto) integration.
• Strong product sense and commitment to building reliable, scalable systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in agile teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate product requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch, including crafting technical specs, writing clean code, and ensuring a smooth release process.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, robustness, and reliability. Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality code culture.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and continuously improve application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in the Elixir ecosystem to help us innovate and improve.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development.
• Strong proficiency and professional experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems, and functional programming principles.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL) and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• A strong product sense and a passion for building exceptional, reliable, and scalable systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment.
