Google is seeking a Software Engineer for Education Analytics in Mexico City. The role is mid-level, focusing on education data insights, privacy-friendly analytics, and scalable backend/frontend development across the full stack.

The position emphasizes collaboration, design reviews, and code quality, with a mission to empower education leaders through data-driven solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of full stack development across backend (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).

• Lead or participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices including style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with Java or TypeScript.
• Experience in backend, distributed systems development.
• Experience in front-end, single-page application development.
• Experience in user-facing analytics applications and data visualization.
