AgileEngine, LLC in Puebla, Mexico, seeks a mid-level C# Developer to help build and maintain an application-protection product based on C# and IL. You will collaborate with two senior engineers, gaining exposure to obfuscation and runtime protection, and supervise AI-assisted development to ensure correct implementations.

You will break down tasks, review code, and occasionally contribute to non-core areas such as C++, front-end tasks, and CI/CD, as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a C# Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of an application-protection product built on C# and IL. This person works alongside two senior engineers on implementation and problem-solving, building familiarity with obfuscation and runtime protection. Comfort supervising AI-assisted development and verifying results is part of the role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Contribute to development and maintenance of a C# and IL-focused application-protection product.
• Work alongside two senior engineers to implement product changes and solve technical problems.
• Build understanding of the product's obfuscation and runtime-protection context, including its interaction with customer application builds.
• Break down implementation tasks and seek clarification from teammates when requirements or technical approaches are unclear.
• Use Claude Code in daily development while retaining responsibility for reviewing and verifying the resulting implementation.
• Contribute to adjacent technical tasks when required, using investigation, collaboration, and AI assistance to work beyond the primary stack.

MUST HAVES

• Hands-on C# software engineering skills at a mid-level proficiency, of at least 3 years.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers on product implementation and technical problem-solving.
• Critical thinking: break problems into clear steps, identify gaps in understanding, and ask useful questions of teammates and AI agents.
• Ability to supervise AI-assisted development, review generated code, and verify that implementations achieve the intended result.
• Willingness to learn and contribute outside the primary stack, including C++ packages, front-end tasks, and CI/CD, when needed.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with .NET Intermediate Language (IL) and how C# applications are built and executed.
• Experience with code obfuscation, runtime protection, or application-security tooling.
• Experience with command-line tools and build-process integrations.
