Kyndryl seeks a Senior Lead, Workday Benefits specialist to design, configure, and support Benefits in Workday as the system of record. You will own solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment across global requirements, partnering with HR, Payroll, and downstream teams.

Requires 7+ years in Workday configuration, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to drive projects with limited oversight. Hybrid work model offered; location: Mexico City or remote option.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, with deep expertise in Benefits
• Ability to independently design and deliver Workday configuration solutions, from requirements through deployment
• Strong understanding of benefits and payroll-related processes, including downstream impacts
• Experience supporting production Workday environments and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting global or multi-country Workday deployments
• Familiarity with Workday security, processes, and reporting impacts related to Time and Absence
• Translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice Workday configurations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and enterprise-wide communication skills

The Role

Are you ready to join Kyndryl’s CIO Hire‑to‑Retire organization as a Senior Lead, Software Engineering Specialist - Workday Benefits? We are seeking an experienced, independently driven Workday practitioner to design, configure, and support Benefits solutions with Workday as the system of record. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Benefits, owning solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment across global business requirements. You will partner closely with HR, Payroll, and downstream teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and scalable solutions that support both day‑to‑day operations and evolving business needs. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into Workday configuration solutions, advising on best practices, identifying impacts across related domains, and ensuring solutions are sustainable and supportable. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive work to completion with limited oversight. You will collaborate with integration partners and technical teams where needed, but your primary focus will be on functional configuration, solution quality, and business outcomes, rather than custom development. This role offers the opportunity to be a key contributor to a business‑critical HR platform supporting Kyndryl’s global workforce, supporting cross‑functional solution and assessing end‑to‑end impacts across the Hire‑to‑Retire lifecycle.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 7+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience, with deep expertise in Benefits
• Proven ability to independently design and deliver Workday configuration solutions, from requirements through deployment
• Strong understanding of benefits, and payroll‑related business processes, including downstream impacts
• Experience supporting production Workday environments, including troubleshooting and configuration changes in live systems
• Experience supporting global or multi‑country Workday deployments
• Familiarity with Workday business process frameworks, security considerations, and reporting impacts related to Time and Absence
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, supportable Workday solutions using best‑practice configuration approaches
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in an enterprise, cross‑functional environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience configuring one or more additional Workday functional areas, such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Projects
• Experience working in a matrixed or global team

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, HRIS, or a related field
