Job summary

Jabil in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a Technician Engineer to support test engineers in developing and commissioning test solutions, and to qualify fixtures and programs as part of the system qualification process.

The role includes delivering production-ready solutions, assisting in the manufacture of testers and tooling, and providing comprehensive documentation and training for all test operations. You will work closely with manufacturing to prioritize activities and improve yields and uptime.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC including Windows-based OS and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and work with limited variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to compute basic arithmetic and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying fixtures and programs.
• Delivers solutions to production, supporting Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assists in building and manufacturing testers, fixtures and environmental tooling.
• Provides documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
• Coordinates training and education for all test operations with Manufacturing.
• Monitors and reports on test yields, efficiency, and uptime with targets for improvement.
• Strives to upgrade test processes balancing cost and coverage for optimized testing.
• Coordinates test readiness with the weekly production schedule through Test Support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
