About the Role

Join to apply for the Senior Telephony Engineer role at Allied Global Technology Services?? Contract Type : Contractor (Monthly payments via Deel.Com)? Work Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9am to 6pm EST (with maintenance windows on Thursdays from 10 : 00 PM to 3 : 00 AM EST)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Telephony Engineer to design, support, and optimize our enterprise telephony infrastructure. You will ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability across all voice systems while collaborating with cross-functional IT and operations teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise telephony platforms (on-premise and / or cloud).
  • Manage VoIP infrastructure, SIP trunking, call routing, DID management, and numbering.
  • Administer PBX / ACD / IVR platforms and perform regular performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot complex voice, call-flow, and network-related issues.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and uptime SLAs.
  • Lead telephony projects, migrations, and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Provide Level support for telephony incidents.
  • Document configurations, workflows, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Telephony / Voice Engineer in senior roles.
  • Expertise in VoIP, SIP, RTP, QoS, codecs, SBCs, and telephony protocols.
  • Experience with major platforms such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Asterisk / FreePBX, Genesys, Mitel, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud telephony platforms (e.g. Twilio, Amazon Connect, RingCentral, Zoom Phone).
  • Advanced English and Spanish skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in contact center technologies (ACD, IVR, call recording).
  • Familiarity with scripting / automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Collaboration, Avaya ACIS / ACSS).
