Job summary

Leadout Capital is seeking a Salesforce Technical Consultant to lead hands-on migrations to Marketing Cloud Next from legacy platforms. You will configure Email Studio, Journey Builder, and related components under guidance from the architect, ensuring data extension migrations, testing, and delivery readiness.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in martech/Salesforce and 3+ years in Marketing Cloud, with API integration and compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Next (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder).
• Intermediate-to-advanced AMPscript and/or SSJS.
• Understanding of data extension architecture and subscriber data modeling.
• Experience with email marketing channel migration or implementation.
• Knowledge of consent/compliance regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL).
• Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP) and/or Marketing Cloud Connect.
• Deliverability fundamentals (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).

Responsibilities

• Execute technical migration of data extensions, subscriber lists, and segments per the architect's blueprint.
• Build and test migrated journeys, validating decision logic, triggers, and personalization (AMPscript/SSJS).
• Support consent/suppression list migration (GDPR/CAN‑SPAM/CASL), verifying data integrity for each batch.
• Configure integrations via Marketing Cloud Connect and REST/SOAP APIs with Sales/Service Cloud and external systems.
• Execute deliverability testing (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) and QA validations ahead of cutover.
• Document configurations, scripts, and technical decisions for Migration Factory playbooks/accelerators.
• Participate in discovery workshops and client validation sessions, escalating technical risks to the architect.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Consultant – Marketing Cloud Next is a hands‑on execution role within the Strategic Migration CoE / Migration Factory, supporting end‑to‑end migrations from legacy platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, SFMC Classic) to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next. Unlike the Technical Architect (who owns solution strategy and design), this role focuses on detailed technical implementation: platform configuration, journey/automation build, data extension migration, and quality validation — working under the architect's guidance and in direct contact with client teams.

• Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud (unified profiles, audience activation).
• ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory).
• Interaction Studio, Advertising Studio, or additional channels (WhatsApp, LINE, Push, SMS).
• Exposure to Snowflake/Databricks, Loyalty Cloud, or Commerce Cloud.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of martech/Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years working directly in Marketing Cloud (ideally including at least 1 migration project).
• Experience collaborating on client‑facing teams under the direction of an architect or technical lead.
