RTX is seeking a senior structural analyst in Mexicali to lead moderately sized projects and perform advanced analyses on aircraft components using finite element methods. You will evaluate load paths for metallic and composite structures and contribute to design decisions for certification.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years experience, strong English, and hands-on work with Nastran/Patran/HyperMesh. Onsite roles emphasize collaboration across global teams and continuous process improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Aerospace.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in structural analysis.
• Experience with FEM tools (Nastran, Patran, HyperMesh).
• Experience with aircraft structural components analysis (static, durability, damage tolerance).
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken).

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage moderately sized structural analysis projects with significant impact on organizational objectives.
• Perform advanced structural analyses for aircraft components and systems using analytical and finite element methods.
• Evaluate load paths and support airframe design activities involving metallic and composite structures.
• Conduct and review analyses related to static strength, durability (LCF and HCF), damage tolerance, EBU, actuation systems, and nacelle structures.
• Develop innovative technical solutions by researching and integrating industry best practices.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation to support design decisions and certification activities.
• Collaborate closely with international engineering teams and provide technical guidance to lower-level engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing existing processes, tools, and systems.
• Support structural testing activities and interpret material behavior and properties for both metallic and composite materials.
• Support and conduct technical presentations (CDR and PDR).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechatronics, Mechanic, and Aerospace
• Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
• Experience with FEM tools, including Nastran, Patran, HyperMesh, and hand calculations
• Experience with aircraft structural components analysis, including static, durability, damage tolerance, EBU, actuation systems, and nacelle analysis
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with stress analysis of metallic and composite structure
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, technical documents, etc.
• Substantial knowledge of aircraft materials and fabrication/shop processes
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage in high volume communication with internal and external customers
