Luxoft in Querétaro, Mexico, seeks an experienced embedded software engineer for an AUTOSAR-based automotive project. The role focuses on developing AUTOSAR components, integrating third‑party software, and ensuring MISRA-compliant code for safety‑critical systems.

It is a 100% onsite position. You will work with current and next‑gen hardware, using CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable software.

Formación

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience in embedded software development using C.
• Experience with automotive network interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience in AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) application layer development.
• Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS.
• Familiarity with Git or similar versioning tools.

Responsabilidades

• Focus on development of AUTOSAR application components and integration of third-party software.
• Develops and maintains software design, unit test specs and test reports in line with software architecture guidance.
• Develops source code in accordance with coding guidelines.
• Performs unit testing and static code analysis per MISRA rules.
• Checks in/commits artifacts to the configuration management system and participates in CI workflows.
• Keeps CoreALM tickets updated and communicates status in project meetings.
• Ensures quality of all owned deliverables and compliance with software requirements and architecture.
• Travels to customer sites as needed.

• Automotive Project domain lays in the area of Advanced Driver Assist Systems which is a step towards an Autonomous Drive future.
• Our product represents a Fusion System which collects data from multiple sources such as Ultrasonic Sensors, Analogue and Digital Cameras and executes a complex math logic , as known as Computer Vision Algorithms, targeted to detect specific objects , project trajectories and help driver and passengers to stay safe in any unexpected road situation.
• Project team works with current and next generation systems, best Hardware and Tooling present in industry, to enhance user experience and guarantee maximum safety to our customers.
• Customer office located in Queretaro, Mexico and all jobs are 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• : Focus on development of AUTOSAR application specific components; integration of internally re-used standard software components and adaptation/integration of 3rd party software component
• s Develops and maintains the software detailed design, Sw Unit test specification and test report of all verification of the Sw Component in his responsibility in alignment with Software architectur
• e Develops source code in accordance with coding guideline
• s Performs Sw Unit static code analysis and ensures compliance of developed source code according to MISRA rule
• s Develops Sw Unit test specification & performs Sw Unit test and generates Sw Unit test repor
• t Check in/commit of artifacts to Configuration Management database on a regular base (e.g, submitting his code using CI, Gerrit, and run delta KW, delta UT for the change
• s Update CoreALM ticket & Activities on daily basis with current statu
• s Provides update about the status of own work in regular project meeting
• s Ensures quality of all owned deliverables (e.g maintaining the objectives of all process KPIs and Sw Code quality metrics for the software component in his ownership
• ) Ensures development work is fulfilling the Software Requirements Specification, and Software Architectur
• e Implements fixes and changes required by problem reports and change request
• s Performs and participates in peer reviews for software, design and document (e.g. requirement and test specifications
