Paylocity, a leading cloud-based HR and payroll provider, seeks a Regional Senior HR Generalist to support Mexico operations from Guadalajara. You will partner with HR leadership to implement policies, programs, and processes across the region, handling employee relations, recruitment, performance, and compensation with a focus on efficiency and satisfaction.

The role is 100% in-office at Guadalajara, with strict on-site requirements.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum 6 years in progressive HR roles with 4+ years as a generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and payroll.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Leads and executes HR policies, programs and practices across assigned business units.
  • Serves as a trusted HR Advisor to managers and employees across all levels.
  • Independently manages and resolves complex employee relations issues with sound judgement.
  • Provides support for regional recruitment efforts as needed, including identifying talent needs and conducting interviews.
  • Leads various HR programs for regional employees including new hire orientations, recognition programs, culture activities, and compliance training.
  • Ensures compliance with local labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures across the region.
  • Manages HR compliance tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records and reporting.
  • Responsible for communication and enforcement of company policies across the region.
  • Performs HR operational tasks including leave management and benefits administration.
  • Coordinates regional company events and facilities-related needs.
  • Recommends new approaches to improve efficiency of the department.
  • Analyzes HR data to identify trends and provide insights to regional leadership.
  • Coordinates regional payroll process and responds to payroll questions.

Position Overview

The Regional Senior HR Generalist will work closely with HR leadership and regional management teams to provide hands‑on HR support, ensuring that HR policies, programs, and processes are effectively implemented across the assigned country and/or region. This role will support a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation/pay, and compliance. The Senior HR Generalist will be proactive, organized, and able to manage HR operations across the region with a focus on employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

In‑Office

This is a 100% in‑office role based at our Guadalajara, MEX location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on‑site five days per week during designated work hours.

  • Leads and executes HR policies, programs and practices across assigned business units.
  • Serves as a trusted HR Advisor to managers and employees across all levels.
  • Independently manages and resolves complex employee relations issues with sound judgement.
  • Provides support for regional recruitment efforts as needed, which may include identifying talent needs, conducting interviews, identifying unique talent engagement and sourcing opportunities and supporting offer processes.
  • Leads various HR programs for regional employees including new hire orientations, employee recognition programs, culture activities, service awards, referral programs, community support, compliance training, performance appraisal process, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with local labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, across the region.
  • Manages HR compliance‑related tasks, including maintaining accurate employee records, following local immigration requirements, reporting, and auditing to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
  • Responsible for the communication and enforcement of company policies, ensuring all employees are informed and trained on relevant policies.
  • Performs HR operational tasks, including managing employee leave, benefits administration, year end income tax process and other employee‑related documentation.
  • Coordinates regional company events such as holiday parties, volunteering activities and others.
  • Acts as point of contact for office space planning and facilities related needs in conjunction with the corporate facilities team.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continuously improve in efficiencies of the department and services we perform.
  • Analyzes HR data (headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics) to identify trends and provides insights and recommendations to regional leadership.
  • Coordinates regional end‑to‑end payroll process (prepare payroll inputs, act as point of contact for internal and external payroll teams as well as for employees in case they have payroll related questions).
  • Acts as a point of contact for regional HR and events suppliers (assists procurement with the review of new contracts, their renewals, changes and terminations).
  • Conducts exit interviews with leavers and own offboarding process.
  • Supports regional employees and/or leadership with learning and training delivery.
  • Supports DEI initiatives and helps build an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience with at least 4 years in a generalist role.
  • Performance Management Experience Preferred.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining alignment with company goals.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of HR concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment law, payroll and immigration process.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
  • Experience in employee relations and recruitment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and HRIS systems).
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑growing and international environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
