AgileEngine in Mexico is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure supporting rapid growth. You will architect reliable services, manage AWS resources and Kubernetes clusters, and work with service mesh tech to keep systems secure and performant.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI-native tooling, improve development workflows, and ensure security and operational excellence while delivering high-availability platform services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 3+ years API design and development (REST/gRPC).
• 2+ years with AWS and Kubernetes; experience with Istio/Linkerd/Cilium.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and applying infrastructure improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works with service mesh technologies to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native development tooling rounds out the role.

MUST HAVES

• - 4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• - 3+ years of experience with API design and development, including REST/gRPC.
• - 2+ years of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, with experience in Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, etc.
• - 2+ years of experience building advanced architectural components, such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• - 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• - 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• - Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
