Job summary

Golabs Tech is seeking an Senior Operations Lead for its Analytics Platform. The role is remote within Mexico on a 3-month contractor project with a high likelihood of extension.

You will oversee day-to-day platform operations, coordinate with Data Engineering and BI teams, and drive data quality and process improvements. The ideal candidate brings extensive analytics operations experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and proven leadership in cross-functional settings.

Qualifications

• 10–11 years in analytics or data operations, with senior-level exposure.
• 5+ years in Operations Lead or similar leadership role.
• 3+ years supporting production analytics platforms.
• Experience with retail or e-commerce environments is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder comms and technical collaboration skills.
• Advanced SQL skills and debugging abilities.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and dbt; proficient in Tableau/ThoughtSpot.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily analytics platform operations across LatAm.
• Act as main liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate data pipelines and dashboard maintenance with Data Engineering and BI teams.
• Monitor data quality, availability, and platform performance.
• Triage and track data quality issues with regular status updates.
• Maintain documentation for processes and architecture.
• Translate stakeholder feedback into prioritized work.
• Support onboarding and training on BI tools for users.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.

Senior Operations Lead - Analytics Platform

Role Overview

The Operations Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of an analytics platform across the LatAm region, acting as the primary link between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, coordinating issue resolution, supporting analytics products, and driving continuous operational improvements across a distributed, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the analytics platform across the LatAm region.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders on data and analytics needs.
• Coordinate with Data Engineering and BI teams on data pipelines and dashboard maintenance.
• Monitor platform performance, data availability, and data quality.
• Triage, track, and elevate data quality issues, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for operational processes, workflows, and system architecture.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and communicate priorities to the central team.
• Support stakeholder onboarding and provide training on BI tools and self-service analytics.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Drive process improvements through automation and operational optimization.

Required Qualifications

• 10-11 years of experience in analytics, data operations, or related fields.
• 5+ years in an Operations Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership role.
• 3+ years supporting production analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting retail or e-commerce organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced SQL skills, including writing and debugging queries.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Snowflake
• dbt
• Experience with BI tools such as:
• Tableau
• ThoughtSpot
• Solid understanding of:
• Data pipelines
• ETL/ELT processes
• Data quality monitoring and alerting
• Basic Python scripting skills.
