Kearney Activate is seeking a Senior Operations Consultant to lead major work streams and shape solutions across the KOS client engagements. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, bringing deep functional expertise and guiding teams toward measurable operational improvements.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in management consulting, supply chain, procurement, operations or transformation.
• Demonstrated success leading workstreams and delivering outcomes with senior client stakeholders.
• Experience in sourcing/procurement transformations in a consulting or project-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier-performance initiatives.
• Guide spend baselining, sourcing strategy, RFX execution, negotiations and implementation planning.
• Lead teams applying digital and AI-backed approaches to drive procurement workstreams.
• Develop recommendations for operating models, digital enablement, and continuous improvement.
• Lead clients in change management to ensure value realization and savings tracking.

Role Overview

As a Senior Operations Consultant, you will lead significant work streams and help shape solutions across KOS client engagements. You will serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor to client stakeholders, bring deep functional expertise and guide teams toward measurable operational improvements.You will contribute to client delivery, business development, KOS offering development, and the growth of junior talent. The role requires both specialist depth and the ability to connect analysis, transformation design, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier-performance initiatives.


• Guide spend baselining, sourcing strategy, RFX execution, negotiations and implementation planning.


• Lead teams in applying the latest in digital and AI-backed approaches to drive procurement workstreams using a range of Kearney proprietary and third-party solutions


• Develop recommendations for procurement of operating models, digital enablement, and continuous improvement.


• Lead clients, independently or with small teams, in change management to ensure value realization with program management, savings tracking, and supplier transition steps

End-to-end Operations impact

• Understand and articulate sourcing impacts upstream and downstream in the value chain; i.e. communicate and plan for impacts on demand planning, forecasting, inventory, network optimization, logistics and digital transformation.


• Account for broader supply chain impact in designing process improvements, analytical models, performance measures, and implementation of roadmaps.

Kearney Activate and Client Development

• Contribute to proposals, client pitches and business development initiatives.


• Work flexibly in dynamic environments with varying client needs and project requirements.


• Develop intellectual capital, tools, methods, and case studies.


• Support Kearney outreach and collaborate with technology and asset-development teams.

Who You Are

• 6-8 years of experience in management consulting, supply chain, procurement, operations or transformation.


• Demonstrated success leading workstreams and delivering outcomes with senior client stakeholders.


• Demonstrated experience in one or more sourcing, procurement, or related operations transformations, in a consulting or similar project-based setting.


• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.


• Strong communication, stakeholder management, storytelling, and executive-presentation skills.


• Strong project management skills and the ability to work across functions, geographies, and time zones.


• Proficiency and ability to guide team in using LLM platforms (ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate workflows for research, and deliverable deployment and validation.


• Advanced Excel and experience with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms preferred.


• Knowledge of tools such as Coupa, Jaggaer or Keelvar,and other Source-to-contract solutions, with the ability to guide clients and projects teams on usage.


• Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process and systems a plus


• Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
