Job summary

Applaudo seeks an experienced backend engineer to own features in a core enterprise integration layer. You will build event-driven, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, unifying multiple business verticals into a scalable integration layer. This is a 6-month contractor role.

You will design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs with Azure Service Bus and Functions, collaborating with senior peers and stakeholders. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/Software Eng or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience for backend solutions.
• Proven experience with .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET 6/8).
• Hands-on Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions for event-driven/serverless apps.
• Experience with API Management and observability tools for distributed environments.
• Experience designing robust RESTful APIs and DDD concepts.
• Strong SOLID principles, design patterns, and testing (TDD a plus).
• Comfortable in shared-ownership architecture and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own features within the core enterprise integration layer.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Azure Service Bus and Functions.
• Collaborate with architects and peers to deliver scalable solutions across verticals.
• Take full ownership of tasks from planning to delivery with minimal oversight.
• Communicate progress and technical decisions to stakeholders clearly.
• Champion code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices; participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed cloud issues using APM tools.
• Maintain proficiency in C# and .NET 6/8 and related Azure services.
• Use AI tools in daily development workflow.
