Cognizant in Hidalgo, Mexico, is seeking a Data Engineer to join a fast-growing AI/ML team. You will design and implement cloud-native data solutions within a microservice architecture, focusing on GCP, Python, and Kubernetes.

The role requires hands-on work with Vertex AI, Dataflow, KFP, Airflow, LangChain, and Anthos, plus strong SDLC/MDLC practices and cross-functional collaboration with data scientists. 8+ years or a Master’s in software/ML is preferred.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience with a master's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering or ML/AI engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, GCP, Cloud Architecture, KFP, Vertex AI, and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design robust cloud solutions in GCP that will service the client intelligence and data solutions.
• Develop and deploy models and services in managed Kubernetes Framework (Anthos).
• Enhance and optimize the performance of containerized applications.
• Develop and deploy batch predictions using Dataflow, KFP and Vertex AI.
• Develop GenAI models using LangChain.
• Collaborate with data scientists to train, guide, and support processes to ensure security and address vulnerabilities.
• Implement and maintain ongoing prediction pipelines using Kubernetes, Airflow, KFP, and Vertex AI.
• Ensure best practices in ML engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Understand and champion SDLC as well as the MDLC.
