Ware Malcomb is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Monterrey to lead and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and building systems across complex projects. You will guide engineering teams, perform analyses, review drawings, and ensure code compliance while mentoring staff.

The role covers full project lifecycles from design through construction administration, with emphasis on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions. Strong English skills are essential for client and consultant coordination.

Formación

  • Bachelor's Degree (ABET Accredited) in engineering.
  • 10+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced financial knowledge for project decisions.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit for designs and docs.
  • Strong English proficiency for client coordination.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) and guide teams through phases.
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines and stakeholders across projects.
  • Communicate with designers, owners, contractors, and consultants.
  • Perform analyses and design activities to meet requirements.
  • Organize project teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage expenses within budget (Fee and Expenses).
  • Review calculations and modeling for accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor team members on engineering principles and standards.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications; manage releases.
  • Lead field activities including site assessments and commissioning support.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and quality improvements.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Ware Malcomb, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive building engineering solutions to diverse clients. You will lead, coordinate, and provide functional leadership for the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of complex projects. Your expertise will support the full project lifecycle, covering HVAC systems, plumbing systems, building automation and controls, energy-efficient design strategies, central utility systems, load calculations, equipment selection, mechanical system studies, commissioning support, and sustainable building solutions.


Your Role
  • Lead projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) and guide team members through specific phases or aspects of projects, including technical studies, analysis, design, and preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Lead coordination efforts between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate directly with designers, owners, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform or oversee engineering analyses and design activities to achieve project requirements.
  • Organize project teams as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Control expenditures within project budget limitations (Fee and Expenses).
  • Review calculations and modeling outputs to verify technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Mentor team members on engineering principles, industry standards, and practical application of mechanical design solutions.
  • Coordinate activities necessary to complete technical documents (drawings and specifications), including resolving engineering design and technical challenges. Evaluate and approve design changes and document releases.
  • Lead and participate in field activities, including site assessments, existing conditions verification, construction administration, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and punch list reviews for highly technical projects and clients.
  • Assist in maintaining an environment that supports individual achievement and professional growth of team members.
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and development of Engineering Standards.
  • Review drawings and project documentation to improve quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university (ABET Accredited).
  • 10+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex ideas through writing and presentations while motivating teams and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex information and evaluate multiple solutions in dynamic situations.
  • Advanced financial knowledge to perform complex calculations and deliver thorough financial analysis to support project and business decisions.
  • Proficiency in Auto Desk Revit with the ability to develop coordinate, and review engineering designs and construction documentation.
  • Strong English proficiency, including verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with clients, contractors, consultants , and project teams .
