Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Ciudad Juárez, MX seeks a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician to serve as MES expert for CAMSTAR, ERP and Operational Intelligence platforms. You will configure, troubleshoot, and support MES implementations across business units, ensuring robust manufacturing processes.

You will work under supervision, coordinating with teams to develop tests, validations and deployments while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment or medical device industry preferred.
• Associate degree in CS or related field required.
• Strong CAMSTAR/ERP/AQR configuration and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with administration, problem solving and continuous improvement of MES.
• Establishes and instructs MES procedures for system users.
• Contributes to development, testing, validation and implementation of MES.
• Under supervision assists with MES projects across J&J partners.
• Participates in nonconformance activities and communicates issues up the chain.
• Ensures Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines are followed.
• Leads subordinates to comply with company safety policies.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.

We are searching for the best talent for SENIOR MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Purpose

The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician is a technical expert on MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software, CAMSTAR Manufacturing and Operational Intelligence Platform, capable of supplying support and troubleshooting skills to solve problems for the business units during and after an MES implementation and updates. Must be able to perform configuration changes on MES software per business needs.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Collaborates with the administration, problem solving and continuous improvement of MES.
• Establishes and instructs MES procedures for system users.
• Contributes to the development, tests, validations, and implementation of MES.
• Under the guidance of a supervisor and only when requested to his/her supervisor, she/he will aid the development, tests, validations, and implementation efforts of MES within other J&J (Johnson & Johnson) partners.
• Under the guidance of a supervisor, she/he will take part and accelerate the completion of nonconformance activities.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing environment and/ or medical device industry preferred.
• A minimum of associates degree in a Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proven experience in MES software administration (Camstar, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), AQR (Automated Quality Record)).
• Experience in Camstar configuration (WF, BOP (Bill of Process), E-procedure, Task list, UDCD, queries) preferably.
• Experience on troubleshooting Personal Computers (PCs) and the different devices drivers, controllers) preferably.

EDUCATION

• Associate's degree in computer science or related field
• Intermediate English Level is preferred.

Job Experience

• Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
• 4 to 6 Years' experience in manufacturing/design engineering.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES And AFFILIATIONS

• Strong PC (Personal Computer (PC)) experience needed.
• Experience in CAMSTAR Software configuration.
• Position requires excellent communication skills plus the ability to function in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of information systems including but not limited to ERP, Quality Systems & Documentation Control Systems.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Lean certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment validation documents (IQ (Installation Qualification) or equivalent).
• Knowledge of GxP (Good x Practice) software validation (SDCL method).
