Convatec is seeking a Senior Manager, Maintenance & Engineering to lead maintenance and engineering across the site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities.

You will drive asset reliability, capital project delivery, and continuous improvement while partnering with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS to achieve world-class manufacturing performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in maintenance/engineering leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record leading maintenance organizations and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar highly regulated industries.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and change management capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead maintenance and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, productivity, and operational performance.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to support business continuity and asset lifecycle management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, cost optimisation, and equipment reliability.
• Oversee engineering projects, including equipment installations, process improvements, facility modifications, and capital investments.
• Ensure effective management of site utilities, infrastructure, and critical manufacturing assets.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and other key stakeholders to support production goals and business priorities.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, contractors, and external service providers to deliver business objectives effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Support the development and execution of long-term site strategies related to capacity, infrastructure, technology, and operational performance.

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Maintenance & Engineering is responsible for leading all maintenance and engineering activities across the site to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities. This role drives asset reliability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and capital project delivery while supporting business objectives, regulatory compliance, and future site growth. The position provides leadership to maintenance and engineering teams and works closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS partners to achieve world-class manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead maintenance and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, productivity, and operational performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.


• Extensive experience in Maintenance, Engineering, or Technical Operations leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment.


• Proven track record of leading maintenance organizations, engineering projects, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.


• Experience within Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar highly regulated industries required.


• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and change management capabilities.
