About the Role:
The Compass Search & Listings organization is responsible for ingesting, enriching and managing the real estate listings that are used by all downstream product teams at Compass, as well as powering the feature-rich listings search capability. The Listing Pipeline teams owns the services that ingest and normalize listing data from over 200 external sources, supplying the core data for the entire Compass platform.
As a Senior Software Engineer on a Listing Pipeline Team, you will work on projects that deliver the data for all new product capabilities to Compass agents and consumers. You will architect, implement, improve and scale the back-end services, all while collaborating cross-functionally with Product and multiple teams across the organization to work towards the best possible solutions.
As a Senior Engineer, you will use your experience with microservice architecture to influence key technology decisions for scalable performance and stability. What We Look For:
- BS or MS in CS or EE, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, and high-performance software applications in Python.
- 3+ years experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS services, including EKS, S3, Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Lambda, and MSK.
- Expertise designing and extending Kafka and event-driven data ingestion and normalization services that perform at scale.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and validate with Engineering Management and Continuous Improvement Management, the definition of projects for the Annual Plan, with the areas of Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance, HR, R&D etc., which must be based on business strategies, indicator deviations (SQDCE), regulations, standards, productivity, new products or processes, productivity, growth, savings, etc.
- Generate the basis of the annual capital budget to be invested, to be reviewed and authorized by the Engineering Manager.
- Filter the projects through the evaluation of technical and economic feasibility, which will be reviewed and authorized by the Engineering Management.
- Coordinate the appropriate cost and financial controls, so that the Engineering Management reports and recommends quarterly to the different instances of the Company the adjustments according to the financial measurement.
- Ensure the correct application of investment resources.
- Ensure the correct and effective planning, design and execution of capacity growth and/or production relocation projects.
- Design engineering projects that meet the expectations of users and customers, considering new technologies, automation, etc.

This is a Mexico-based role within a globally integrated automation company , combining local customer-facing engineering with strong global engineering and manufacturing capabilities, including teams in China.
The position plays a key role in technical solution definition, customer engagement, and early-phase project development , supporting both regional and global business growth.

1. Solution Design & Technical Leadership
- Lead mechanical concept development for customized automation systems

Experience & Technical Expertise
- 5–10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering for automation systems or customized machinery
- Strong understanding of automation equipment, machine structures, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in concept development, application engineering, or technical sales support
- Ability to work at system and solution level , beyond detailed mechanical design
- Proficient in at least one major CAD system (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, CATIA, etc.)
Language & Communication

- Leading interior design activities with minimal supervision.
