BairesDev is hiring a Senior Java & Cloud Engineer to lead design and implementation of scalable cloud services across major public clouds. You will shape architecture, drive decisions, and ensure highly available backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, align technical execution across squads, and optimize systems for performance and cost. This is a 100% remote role with generous compensation in USD or local currency.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Java development or related field
• Proven expertise in designing and building cloud services
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and containerization
• Advanced proficiency in English

As a Senior Java & Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable cloud services across major public cloud platforms. You will serve as a key driver of architectural decisions, ensuring that backend services are robust, highly available, and aligned with modern distributed systems practices.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and develop high-performance cloud services and distributed backend systems.
• Design and deploy containerized applications to maintain resilient cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering team members to foster technical growth.
• Drive key architectural decisions and technical alignment across engineering squads.
• Optimize systems for high availability, performance, and cost-effective cloud resource usage.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Java Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Java and designing complex cloud services.
• Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, Kubernetes, and containerization using Docker.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical execution.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
