About Lemon Ads

Lemon Ads is a performance marketing agency helping established and growing DTC e‑commerce brands scale through paid media, creative strategy, conversion‑rate optimization, email and SMS marketing, influencer marketing, SEO, and data‑driven growth strategy.

We manage multiple brands across industries including beauty, fashion, health and wellness, personal care, lifestyle, and home goods.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptionally experienced Senior Google & PPC Media Buyer to lead the strategy, execution, optimization, and scaling of Google Ads campaigns across a portfolio of DTC e‑commerce clients.

This is a highly hands‑on position for a senior performance marketer who understands much more than campaign setup and basic optimization. The right candidate must be able to analyze business economics, identify growth opportunities, diagnose performance problems, build sophisticated account structures, and confidently manage substantial advertising budgets.

You will personally manage campaigns while also helping establish best practices, reviewing account strategy, and providing guidance to other team members when needed.

This is not a role for someone who only monitors dashboards, follows automated platform recommendations, or delegates execution. We are looking for a strategic buyer who understands exactly how and why performance changes, knows what action to take and how to scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute advanced Google Ads strategies for multiple DTC e‑commerce brands.
  • Build, manage, optimize, and scale campaigns across:
    1. Google Search
    2. Google Shopping
    3. Performance Max
    4. Demand Gen
    5. YouTube
    6. Display and remarketing
  • Manage Microsoft Advertising campaigns, including Bing Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and eligible Copilot advertising placements.
  • Conduct complete account audits and identify structural, tracking, targeting, feed, creative, bidding, and landing‑page opportunities.
  • Build account structures based on business objectives, product categories, best selling products, profitability, customer acquisition goals, and growth potential.
  • Manage substantial advertising budgets while maintaining disciplined daily and monthly pacing.
  • Allocate budgets across campaigns, products, audiences, and markets based on performance and profitability.
  • Analyze performance using ROAS, MER, CAC, new‑customer CAC, conversion rate, AOV, LTV, contribution margin, and other relevant business metrics.
  • Create accurate forecasts, testing plans, scaling strategies, and performance projections.
  • Perform advanced search‑term analysis, keyword research, negative‑keyword management, query sculpting, and competitive research.
  • Optimize product feeds and work closely with Google Merchant Center, supplemental feeds, feed rules, promotions, diagnostics, and disapproval resolution.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop stronger messaging, offers, product assets, video concepts, and creative‑testing strategies.
  • Identify landing‑page and conversion‑rate opportunities and communicate actionable recommendations to the CRO and development teams.
  • Monitor attribution and tracking accuracy across Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Shopify, and other reporting platforms.
  • Implement or oversee Enhanced Conversions, Consent Mode, offline conversion imports, first‑party audience strategies, and server‑side tracking when applicable.
  • Prepare clear client‑facing reports that explain performance, insights, actions taken, risks, and next steps.
  • Manage multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast‑paced agency environment.
  • Monitor accounts during major promotional periods, including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, major launches, and other high‑volume sale events.
AI Search, LLM Advertising and Automation

The advertising landscape is expanding beyond traditional search. The successful candidate should understand how paid media is evolving across AI‑powered search, conversational advertising, and agent‑assisted shopping.

Responsibilities in this area will include:

  • Evaluate, launch, measure, and optimize campaigns on ChatGPT Ads and other emerging conversational advertising platforms as access and client eligibility permit.
  • Understand how Google Ads campaigns, Merchant Center feeds, landing pages, and creative assets may appear across Google AI Mode and AI Overviews.
  • Understand Microsoft Advertising distribution across Bing, Copilot Search, and Copilot‑powered experiences.
  • Evaluate emerging paid opportunities connected to AI‑assisted product discovery and agentic commerce.
  • Develop structured testing plans for new AI advertising inventory before recommending meaningful budget expansion.
  • Use platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini responsibly for research, analysis, reporting, workflow development, automation, scripting, and campaign ideation.
  • Maintain strict human review, data accuracy, brand safety, and client confidentiality when using AI tools.
  • Stay current on new paid‑search formats, AI‑search measurement, attribution changes, conversational ad products, and evolving platform policies.

Direct experience managing ChatGPT Ads or another conversational advertising platform is strongly preferred but not required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to quickly evaluate and master emerging advertising platforms.

Required Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on Google Ads and PPC media‑buying experience.
  • Significant experience managing paid media for DTC e‑commerce brands.
  • Previous experience working at a performance marketing agency or managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Proven experience successfully managing DTC E‑commerce brands (Not just lead gen accounts)
  • Expert‑level knowledge of Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, remarketing, audience strategy, and automated bidding.
  • Advanced understanding of Google Merchant Center and e‑commerce product‑feed optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Advertising.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads Editor, Shopify, Looker Studio, and spreadsheet‑based analysis.
  • Strong understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, first‑party data, enhanced conversions, and privacy‑related measurement changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale revenue without losing control of profitability.
  • Ability to diagnose complex performance problems and clearly explain the reasoning behind strategic decisions.
  • Strong understanding of DTC economics, including CAC, LTV, MER, AOV, contribution margin, new‑customer acquisition, and repeat‑purchase behavior.
  • Experience developing testing roadmaps covering keywords, campaign structures, bidding strategies, offers, landing pages, audiences, feeds, and creative assets.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work full‑time during U.S. PST hours.
  • Demonstrates exceptional proactiveness by identifying opportunities, risks, and performance issues early and taking ownership of solutions without waiting for direction.
Strong Advantages
  • Hands‑on experience with ChatGPT Ads or other conversational advertising products.
  • Experience managing ads appearing within AI‑powered search or Copilot experiences.
  • Experience using AI tools, scripts, rules, APIs, or automation to improve campaign analysis and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with Google Ads scripts, BigQuery, SQL, feed‑management platforms, or advanced reporting systems.
  • Experience managing international campaigns across multiple countries, currencies, and languages.
  • Experience working with beauty, fashion, personal care, health and wellness, lifestyle, or home‑goods brands.
  • Experience managing policy‑sensitive, restricted, or difficult‑to‑advertise product categories.
  • Google Ads certifications and other relevant platform certifications.
What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Take ownership of complex accounts without requiring constant direction.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership by proactively identifying what needs to be done, taking action, and leading initiatives forward without waiting for direction.
  • Identify opportunities and performance risks before they become obvious.
  • Scale client revenue while protecting profitability and account stability.
  • Clearly connect advertising performance to broader business economics.
  • Improve the quality of account strategy, testing, reporting, and decision‑making across the department.
  • Help Lemon Ads remain ahead of changes in Google Ads, AI‑powered search, conversational advertising, and performance marketing.

Please clearly distinguish between campaigns you personally managed and campaigns where you only supervised, supported, or reported on performance.
