Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking an Import/Export and Trade Compliance Senior to oversee operations across Mexico and multiple customs locations.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, optimize international logistics, and drive cross-functional improvements to support business objectives. You will lead certification processes, manage documentation, and coordinate with brokers and providers to maintain on-time delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in similar positions within engineering or international trade.
• Experience leading or coordinating import and export operations in a complex international environment.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, international logistics, and documentation requirements.
• Experience managing external partners such as customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and non-tariff regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee import and export operations across multiple customs locations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and Emerson policies.
• Monitor cargo release timelines and support on-time delivery objectives through coordination with brokers, providers, and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with NOMs, certifications, non-tariff regulations, and trade requirements.
• Manage certification processes, documentation control, renewals, and sample management.
• Oversee and resolve customs holds, regulatory exceptions, and compliance-related issues.
• Coordinate customs, transportation, and international logistics for air, ocean, and ground shipments.
