UP.Labs is seeking a Sr. Fullstack Engineer to turn early product direction into working software in an ambiguous startup environment. You will design and ship features using React, TypeScript, APIs, and databases, balancing speed and quality.
You will collaborate with venture builders, product, design and engineering, own backend services and data models, deploy to AWS, and apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.
UP.Labs is a venture studio dedicated to building innovative startup companies from the ground up. We partner with leading corporations and entrepreneurs to identify major industry opportunities, validate new venture concepts, and launch new software and hardware companies.
We’re seeking a Sr. Fullstack Engineer to help turn early product direction into real, working software. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable operating in early-stage, ambiguous environments where requirements, workflows, and technical architecture may still be forming.
Many projects will begin with a business problem, rough product concept, or operational pain point rather than a fully defined technical specification. You should be able to take loosely defined requirements, determine a practical technical path forward, make sound assumptions where details are missing, and drive implementation without needing highly detailed tickets or step-by-step direction.
You will work closely with venture builders, product, design, and engineering teams. Venture builders help define the opportunity and direction; this role is responsible for translating that direction into pragmatic technical plans, product experiences, and working software.
You’ll build end-to-end product experiences across modern web applications, backend services, APIs, data models, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
The work will often involve validating early product concepts, building MVPs, creating internal tools, integrating third-party systems, and shipping usable software quickly. You’ll need to balance speed, quality, and maintainability while making practical tradeoffs based on where the venture is in its lifecycle.
This is a highly collaborative role, but not a heavily prescribed one. You’ll be expected to bring technical judgment, ownership, and initiative to ambiguous engineering problems.
UP.Labs builds high-growth technology startups that enable faster, cleaner, and safer movement of people and goods. We partner with leading corporations and entrepreneurs to identify major industry opportunities, validate new venture concepts, and launch software and hardware companies from the ground up.
Our team works at the earliest stage of company creation, where ideas are still forming, requirements are evolving, and technical validation is critical. We take ventures from concept through MVP and help recruit the full-time team that will scale the business.
This environment requires people who are comfortable operating with ambiguity, making pragmatic technical decisions, and helping turn early product concepts into real, working systems.
