Job summary

Applaudo Studios is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to build scalable, reliable applications across modern frontend and cloud-native backend environments. You will work with TypeScript across the stack, from crafting intuitive user interfaces to designing serverless services and efficient data models.

You will own the solutions, follow engineering standards, write clean, testable code, and contribute to secure development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong professional experience in Full Stack Development, delivering production-grade applications across frontend and backend environments.
• Strong experience developing modern web applications using React, preferably React 19, and libraries such as TanStack Router, TanStack Query, Mantine, or Zustenda.
• Proven experience developing serverless applications on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL data modeling, particularly DynamoDB Single-Table Design and access-pattern optimization.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications and Zod for schema validation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and understanding of AWS IAM concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code quality tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, SonarCloud, and ESLint.
• Experience developing unit tests using Vitest and supporting automated API and end-to-end testing with tools such as Playwright and Postman.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, including PII and PCI security requirements.
• Experience working with Spec-Driven Development methodologies and tools such as Kiro.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with ownership of application deployment, reliability, and maintenance.
• Ability to work autonomously within established architectural patterns, technical standards, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute effectively within Agile development teams.
• Fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-quality full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

• Develop and maintain AWS serverless backend services using Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Design and optimize DynamoDB data models using Single-Table Design and application access patterns.
• Implement RESTful APIs and validate inputs and outputs using OpenAPI-driven Zod schemas.
• Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK while following established deployment and security practices.
• Develop automated unit tests using Vitest and support API and end-to-end testing activities.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive personal and payment information.
• Take ownership of application deployments, production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Follow established architecture decisions, coding standards, CI/CD workflows, and code quality practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in performance, maintainability, and engineering practices.
