AgileEngine is seeking a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle. You will lead QA efforts with PM, UX, and Engineering, and establish scalable automation practices.

The role emphasizes data-driven quality, AI/ML testing insight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will own test plans, define metrics, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software QA with cross-functional collaboration.
• 6+ years automated testing including UI, API, and performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture focusing on auth and infra.
• 3+ years testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; holistic quality mindset.
• Experience with Gherkin for BDD.

Responsabilités

• Build regression automation scripts to support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation against defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance tests and more.
• Document feature behavior in detail.
• Record pass/fail criteria and link to bugs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

MUST HAVES

• 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role building alongside PM, UX, and Engineering Departments.
• 6+ years of experience in automated testing including UI, API, Performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture - Authentication, platforms, and infrastructure focus.
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and escalat[e] any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
