Formación

Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer (Security‑Focused) to join Flex’s engineering team supporting Xylem/Sensus, a global leader in smart metering technologies for water and energy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded security protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, Secure Boot, firmware signing, etc.)
• Enable and integrate hardware cryptographic accelerators
• Ensure compliance with security standards such as NIST, FIPS, ISO/IEC 27001
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define secure system architectures
• Conduct code reviews, threat modeling, and validation for security‑critical code
• Support the full firmware development lifecycle from requirements to testing and deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development using C (bare metal or RTOS)
• Strong knowledge of public‑key cryptography and secure protocols (TLS/DTLS)
• Experience with secure microcontrollers/SoCs (e.g. ARM TrustZone, ATECC)
• Familiarity with firmware validation, debugging tools, and version control systems
• Bonus: Experience with secure OTA updates, device authentication, and anti‑tampering mechanisms
