A global machinery manufacturer located in Ramos Arizpe seeks a Senior Facility Manager to oversee plant operations including production, safety, and compliance. This role is responsible for talent management, operational excellence, and ensuring cost-effective processes in a safe work environment. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, fluent in both English and Spanish, and possess extensive experience in manufacturing operations. This position operates under a five-day in-office model.

Job Summary:

The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of large-scale plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution, and warehousing. This role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across the facility while fostering a safe and high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead talent acquisition, performance management, and development programs for plant personnel, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Direct all manufacturing activities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products on schedule, within a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational systems, equipment, and infrastructure to meet strategic goals.
  • Manage production scheduling to align with internal targets and customer expectations; monitor performance and remove barriers to success.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective process management, system optimization, and facility maintenance.
  • Drive improvements in key performance indicators, including cost reduction, asset utilization, period costs, and workforce efficiency.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Fluent English and Spanish

  • Develops and manages large-scale budgets using organizational tools.
  • Analyzes budget variances and collaborates with business leaders to adjust plans.
  • Evaluates financial impact of operational decisions and recommends improvements.

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Establishes operational routines and safety protocols across departments.
  • Develops strategies to optimize product flow and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Leads innovation in manufacturing processes and plant services.

Manufacturing Safety:

  • Conducts safety audits and ensures OSHA compliance.
  • Develops emergency response procedures and promotes safety culture.
  • Identifies and mitigates emerging safety risks across the facility.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures & Policies:

  • Leads cross-functional development of manufacturing standards and policies.
  • Implements control mechanisms to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Advises on architectural principles for global manufacturing operations.

  • Master´s degree in Business Administration, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Expert in foundry operations or metallurgy
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Certification in Project Management Professional
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
