We are searching for the best talent for Senior Engineering Manager to be in Cd. Juarez Chih. Salvarcar Plant

Purpose:

Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations. Defines strategy for key initiatives and strategies for all Process Engineering Supply Chain projects, to ensure customer needs are being satisfied for all critical milestones and deadlines. Controls development of the optimization of process engineering process schematics, both in terms of engineering specifications as well as operational efficiencies. Produces timely and effective engineering solutions by analyzing organization support in evaluating process improvement opportunities and subsequent modifications. Advises on Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering standards and the direction for the department. Acts as a senior mentor to newer Process Engineers. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Product Management provides leadership and direction for diverse network optimization and manufacturing strategy projects and activities. Partners with manufacturing, R&D and quality in the identification, definition, and execution of projects and delivers technical requirements for the transfer of products as well as continuous improvement of the product's supply chain capabilities. Encourages and supports the identification and development of innovative solutions to problems and opportunities. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing a group of professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Technical Transfer Director, responsible for developing and managing the portfolio of Supply Chain Technical Transfer projects to drive Quality, Growth, Delivery and Cost Improvements globally across the BWI Supply Chain organization
  • Responsible for managing the technical projects of External Manufacturing and Internal Manufacturing around capacity expansion
  • Responsible for providing technical support for the approval/validation of changes/ improvements
  • Oversees technical execution of projects
  • Provides comprehensive technical advice
  • Facilitates resolution of complex technical and operational problems
  • Responsible for providing technical support for the resolution manufacturing assembly issues
  • Drive the development and implementation validation activities and the governance processes to manage the process and system set up at the EM
  • Conduct effective strategy and business planning input processes, metrics, and scorecard reviews
  • Implement standard best practices for project management, measurement, and prioritization
  • Develop and define the master list of Supply Chain improvement projects within the BWI SC, including business case, resources, project timelines, deliverables, and metrics
  • Establish program tracking and reporting to ensure tracking for key benefits realization and to meet the needs of the BWI Supply Chain Leadership Team
  • Implement an agile and efficient process to prioritize projects within the portfolio, and flow appropriate resources to ensure benefits are realized
  • Reviews and approves technical documentation to verify compliance to technical specifications and standards
  • Communicates with internal (manufacturing, quality, engineering) and external partners to coordinate and execute project plans
  • Assigns tasks according to projected scopes including compliance and quality improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification, and launch preparation
  • Ensures implementation of multiple new product development plans and programs for the business unit.
  • Monitors smooth execution of plans and programs at lower levels and cross functionally
  • Allocates proper level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timeliness and budgets
  • Ensures departmental and company compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance

Qualifications
  • Academic degree as a professional in Engineering or related Sciences. Master's degree preferably.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience preferably in Operations, Manufacturing, or related activities, preferably in the field of medical products or the pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of three (3) years at managerial levels preferably.
  • Who has knowledge about new product launches, building construction and start of operations, knowledge about Quality Assurance requirements, GMP's, Safety and Environment, building maintenance, planning and development of Finance and Human Resources preferably.
  • Experience supervising people with technical skills is required (2 years as a minimum)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Skills and general knowledge for financial analysis, budgeting, and costs preferably

  • Ability to write speeches and articles using original and innovative techniques and styles.

  • Skills in the use of PC’s and associated software, preferably knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards).
  • Project management skills: ability to lead teams in different locations executing projects
