Senior Data Scientist – Seller Analytics at Etsy Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. will build insights for Etsy’s sellers, help create best-in-class seller tools, monitor performance, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new sellers.

The role requires 4+ years in analytics for seller-side e-commerce, strong SQL and Python or R, and fluency in English. This hybrid position is remote-friendly with occasional office presence in Mexico City.

Formación

• 4+ years supporting seller-side e-commerce or analytics in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of two-sided marketplaces and e-commerce processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to data quality, reproducible work, and mentoring peers.
• Curiosity in quantitative analysis, visualization, and process efficiency.
• Proven project management skills to drive projects to completion.
• Commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission, and values.

Responsabilidades

• Develop insights from trends and research in seller data.
• Collaborate with seller product teams to impact launches and seller experience.
• Build foundational scripts using SQL and database skills.
• Craft dashboards and visualizations using Looker.
• Engage with external vendors and collaborators on timelines and proposals.
• Coordinate with partners on priorities and expectations for proposals.
• Continuously evaluate technical toolkit and share learnings with the team.
• Assume other tasks as necessary and adapt to changing duties under local law.
