Muttdata is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a remote, growth-focused engagement with a leading beverage company in Mexico. You will design experiments, estimate causal impact, and turn results into decisions that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.

The role sits at the intersection of statistics, economics, and marketing, collaborating with marketing, growth, and commercial teams, as well as data engineers. A background in economics or quantitative fields is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Data Science, statistics, econometrics, or similar roles.
• Hands-on Databricks (Notebook, Spark, Delta Lake) experience required.
• Solid experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments.
• Strong causal inference knowledge and practical application.
• Statistics and econometrics foundations (hypothesis testing, regression, time series).
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, PySpark, scikit-learn) and SQL.
• Experience applying data science to growth, marketing, or commerce.

Responsibilities

• Design, run, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments.
• Apply causal inference methods to estimate marketing impact when randomization is not possible.
• Measure ROI/ROAS, CLV, MMM, and marketing mix performance.
• Translate business questions into analytical problems and experimental designs.
• Develop analyses and models on Databricks, collaborating with data engineers.
• Build predictive and segmentation models to support targeting and personalization.
