AgileEngine in Puebla, Mexico, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to partner with our internal data team on a Customer Data Platform initiative, building Snowflake semantic structures, cleaning and transforming datasets, and developing AI-readiness data models for a growing retail brand.

You will write production-grade SQL and Python, build and maintain data models and semantic views in Snowflake, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical

Formación

• 4+ years writing complex, optimized SQL (window functions, semi-structured data).
• Proficient Python for data manipulation, automation, and data quality checks.
• Hands-on experience in at least one major cloud data ecosystem (AWS, Snowflake, GCP or Azure).
• Ability to collaborate with business partners, ask clarifying questions, and translate needs into specs.
• Disciplined approach to documentation, model descriptions, and code comments.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• CDP Data Modeling: clean, transform, and structure datasets in Snowflake for the Customer Data Platform.
• AI Readiness & Semantic Layer: develop Snowflake views and semantic models for AI agents and BI tools.
• Ad-Hoc Data Prep: engineer datasets for retail initiatives.
• Write production-grade SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation and wrangling.
• Translate business requests into clean, structured data models.
• Parse and flatten JSON and other semi-structured data from cloud sources.
• Build and maintain data models and semantic views in Snowflake.
• Create data dictionaries and documentation for assets.
• Maintain clean repositories and follow Git workflows and testing protocols.
• Take on additional analytics engineering priorities as needed.
